CONVENTION”

Post
Graduate students (SLM) in Orthodontics are invited to submit abstracts for
oral presentations/poster presentations and table clinics.
Ø All
submissions must be sent to email by September
1st
Ø Late
entries will not be accepted.
All
the presentations will be in competitive category
The categories for scientific presentations are
Ø Oral
Paper Presentations (Research, Clinical and Clinical Innovations)
Ø Posters
(Research, Clinical and General)
Ø Table
Clinics (Research and Clinical)
All
PG’s who submit their abstracts before 1st September 2019 will be
given an opportunity to present paper/poser/table clinic.
HODs
are requested to ensure that all the PGs of their department maintain a basic
standard for their presentations.
Only
one entry can be submitted by a presenting author. Multiple entries in same or
different categories by one author will entail rejection of all entries.
Registration to convention is compulsory to do
presentation.
In the Paper/Poster/Table clinic no names of
individuals or of institute should be present, if found presentation will be
disqualified. Only registration numbers should be displayed.
Oral Paper Presentations
Guidelines for Paper submission
Papers
can be submitted under the following sub-heads:
Ø Research
Ø Clinical
Ø Clinical
Innovation
Review papers will not be accepted.
For
a paper to be considered, the complete presentation (including photos, tables
and charts etc. if any) has to be submitted in a word document format along
with the abstract.
Final
presentation in PPT will have to be submitted at the venue before 9 am on the
day of presentation.
Duration
of presentation will be 8 mins + 2 mins for questions and discussions.
In
the Paper presentation no names of individuals or of institute should be
present or told (including guides names/ acknowledging anyone), if found
presentation will be disqualified. Only registration numbers should be
displayed.
Name
of the file - word document and PPT should be your registration number.
Poster Presentations (E-Posters Only)
Guidelines for Poster submission
Posters
can be submitted under the following sub-heads :
Ø Research
Ø Clinical
Ø General
Abstract
(max 250 words)
Poster
in JPEG format (4:3 ratios in landscape mode) has to be submitted online.
[Students
can prepare the poster on PowerPoint/Photoshop/Coral Draw and save it as JPEG]
JPEG
submissions done once will not be entertained for any changes later.
Poster
is restricted to only one slide/JPEG image.
Duration
of presentation will be 3 mins + 1 mins for questions and discussions.
In
the Poster presentation no names of individuals or of institute should be
present or told (including guides names/ acknowledging anyone), if found
presentation will be disqualified. Only registration numbers should be
displayed on lower right corner of image.
Name
of the JPEG file should be your registration number.
Table Clinics
Guidelines for Table Clinics
Table
Clinics can be submitted under following sub-heads:
Ø Research
Ø Clinical
Abstract
of Table Clinic contents may be submitted in 250 words or less.
Maximum
of 2 people can present a single table clinic.
In
the Table clinic presentation no names of individuals or of institute should be
present or told (including guides names/ acknowledging anyone), if found
presentation will be disqualified. Only registration numbers should be
displayed on right corner of table.
All decision of the committee will be final.
